How it works

Three steps.
Then time takes over.

No feed, no followers, no streaks. Just a letter, a date, and the distance between them.

Write

Tell your future self what you wish you could remember.

Start with “To my future self,” and keep going. There’s no format and no right length — a single line is enough, and so are five thousand characters.

Write about where you are. What scares you. What you’re hoping for. The small things you’re sure you’ll never forget, and will.

Your draft is kept as you type, so nothing is lost if you close the page.

Seal

Choose the exact date when your letter should unlock.

Pick one, two, five or ten years — or any exact day from tomorrow up to 50 years away. A birthday. The day results come out. An ordinary Tuesday, a year from now.

Then seal it. A sealed letter can’t be opened, read or edited before its day. Not by you, and not by anyone else. That’s what makes it worth waiting for.

Every letter gets its own ID, like TMFS-7K29X, and its own countdown.

Meet

When the day arrives, your past self has something waiting.

On the morning of your chosen date, the seal breaks. Your letter opens exactly as you wrote it, along with the day you wrote it.

You won’t remember every word. That’s the point. For a few minutes, you get to meet someone you used to be.

In the full version, we send a short email on the day — nothing before, nothing after.

The hardest part
is the first line.

Nothing sealed yet.

The first line is always the hardest. It's also the one you'll remember.
