To My Future Self is an early prototype, offered as-is so people can feel what the experience is like. It isn’t a finished product, and it isn’t a safe place for anything you can’t afford to lose.
2. Where your letters live
In this preview, letters are kept only in your browser’s local storage. We can’t recover them for you, and they won’t follow you to another device. If your browser data is cleared, your letters are gone. See privacy for the details.
3. No emails yet
The preview doesn’t send unlock emails. Your email address is stored alongside your letter in your browser only so the experience matches the full version.
4. Your words are yours
You own what you write. We claim no rights to your letters, and we will never use them to advertise to you or anyone else.
5. Be kind
Write to yourself. Don’t use To My Future Self to harass, threaten or harm anyone — including the person who will one day read your letter.
6. Changes
When the full version launches, these terms will be replaced with complete ones. We’ll say so clearly, in plain language.
